Dear President Trump,

On March 16, You announced a budget plan which calls for increasing funds for military spending and homeland security. To set off the increased spending, You have proposed sweeping cuts to several different governmental organizations that you and your administration may not think are necessary for American life.

We at The International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) are aware of the implications of these budget cuts and would like to defend Environmental Arts Programs like the WORLDS CHILDREN PEACE MONUMENT (WCPM), COASTWEEKS dot Com and the National Coast-to-Coast ‘GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL’. Across the world, the Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts is the cultural backbone of communities. The Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts can influence another culture and even bring cultures together. Environmental Arts is so strong on the global stage because of our uniqueness. The music, artwork and theater are all global phenomena using Iceality. The Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts is a powerful tool, one that the whole Trump administration should want to take full advantage of. Since 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio, Environmental Art has been a global commodity, and the power of a universal Language of Design that Environmental Arts is now considered as the cornerstone of the modern global sustainable movement and this concept is now replicated by artists, architects, urban planners and sustainable organizations throughout the World, reflecting a still growing global audience.

The Environmental Arts are also important for the American individual through the building of the GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL, and have now become a source of comfort and confidence building for Americans of all ages. Community artistic activities connected to the GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL encourage the individual to be in touch with his or her thoughts in a beautiful way and provide a healthy way for one to be in touch with his or her emotions. When someone is sad, he or she can channel sadness into a poem of peace and iceality. If someone is happy, he or she can perform an upbeat song. Any emotion in between can be channeled into the Art of Iceality in some way. The GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL can provide a way to express oneself in a world that can often silence emotions.

The GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL is also is a source of togetherness among Americans that can Unite America. Iceality allows people of all ages to create a community of good. It is touching that human beings can form such strong bonds over something so intrinsic to all cultures. Whether it’s through performing or listening, Iceality provides a common thread for all of us.

The Environmental Arts are now and always will be the centerpiece of American culture. Most popular American songs or famous American artworks are now a product of our love for Iceality in the arts. In recent years, arts programs at schools have been cut all around the country. The federal government to support the popular cause. The federal government, by supporting the environmental arts programs, says that the arts DO matter. By saying the arts do matter, the Trump Administration makes clear that the fostering of American culture is a high priority. The Trump Administration can make America great again by preservation of the soul of our country by creating the National GREAT AMERICAN PEACE TRAIL.

The International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) for 30 years already has a strong appreciation for the arts. Poetry slams, a cappella performances, art shows and civic engagement are quite popular in Cleveland. Greater Cleveland is expands its role as global home of the International Environmental Art Movement as the Primary Economic Engine for the Region and as the 'Cradle for a Universal Culture of Peace' for All Living Things. (Worlds Children). We are blessed to live in one of the most well-known hubs for art in the world, whether it be at the historic ARK in Berea or Playhouse Square. The only way to support for the arts is to continue our love and support for the Environmental Arts. Promoting Iceality here at The International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) and in our immediate community is easy and socially worthwhile.

Now that I think about it, there should be a National Iceality Day that is more encompassing in its scope than any other celebration in America. Iceality Day would be a day of potential, especially for All the Worlds Children. It is not about something 'other', but something we can celebrate and hold as part of ourselves. It is as intimate as Earth Day is for the Plants and Animals and International Peace Day is for the Human's but more encompassing in its scope than any other celebration on the calendar. It is about US as much as it is about the Animals, Fish, and Birds, about the Plants and Trees, Land and Waters. There is no escaping the Planet Earth. Very few have done it and never for long. The astronauts that are on the International Space Station are going to be off the Earth for a short time; the longest time anyone has spent away from our planet yet…so the universal symbol of peace, the WCPM is ready for Peace in Space.

The WORLDS CHILDREN PEACE MONUMENT members and scholars can support the global iceality methodology on a deeper level by supporting local arts. Like arts programs in schools, local museums and galleries all over the country need funding more than ever. Although on a smaller stage, smaller museums and galleries ensure that the environmental arts continue to thrive. Volunteering and even time spent on social media sites could make a difference.

“The Rights of People to Feel Proud of the Original Nation to Which they Belong”

Culture has been growing since the beginning of Time and the Worlds Children are still practicing it today. Through Iceality, we also learn how to be better people in a Multicultural Society like living together as brothers and sisters with everything else.  The Human Spirit is a very complex diverse living enigma. Every individual human has distinguishing feelings, behaviors and traits. It is only through culture where human beings act uniformly and live as a society. Thus, in a simple definition of culture, we all agree that culture is a totality way of life of a certain given society as they live and continue to reside with other Worlds Children.  

Brahui traditions and culture is the total way of life that the Worlds Children in the Pakistani Society are blessed with. Brahui Culture is the characteristic of this particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. Through Brahui culture they are governed by customs, which are the pillars of their society. If these pillars are not properly followed in their society, it will eventually cease to exist. It’s a gradual way of life of presenting Brahui customs to people who surround us through music, dances, arts, crafts, food, dressing style, languages just to mention a few. The Brahuis have an oral tradition of folk songs and heroic poems. These are sung by a class of minstrels and musicians who are attached to every Brahui community. The threat of extinction to Brahui language is not a mere threat to a language but it is the death threat to the history, cultural, folklore, folk songs and all other cultural treats of millions of people of Balochistan, Sindh, Iran, and Afghanistan. The Brahuis have an oral tradition of folk songs and heroic poems. These are sung by a class of professional minstrels and musicians called Dombs, who are attached to every Brahui community.  Moreover, it would be the extinction of the only ancient Dravidian language of Pakistan.

The ways Pakistanis handle their own lives and whatever surrounds them; is actually their culture, and it is that through which they are identified. However, there are many other different cultures from other communities and from other parts of the world which remain to be the part of great adventure and identity to those people who live in Pakistan.  It is important to recognize and appreciate their cultures. Wherever you are and wherever you live, your culture is of great value since it is the one which made you to be who you are today. Under no circumstances, should anyone abandon his or her culture because if one abandons his or her culture, they abandon themselves.

It is about time for everyone to protect all what you have in your culture, and whatever is good, should be taken to great heights and you should try your best to eliminate all those practices which are against basic human rights even if they have been practiced in your culture for centuries. “Culture is not static, it changes as the World develops, so let us not be prisoners of our own culture.”

For those who have been here for the International Conference on Brahui Language and Culture will agree that this event is about commemorating your culture and other cultures beyond our boarders and beyond our continent. It must be well understood that, preserving the Brahui culture, doesn’t mean to disrespect other peoples’ cultures. Cultures create and develop all the Worlds Children identities.
Today and now, I highly call all students and staffs here to try all your absolute best to love and feel proud of their Brahui culture. This is because it is believed that you will not know the importance of things unless they are lost to you. Through the education that we get here at the International Conference on Brahui Language and Culture, you should enable yourselves to reach the maximum goals of fighting and eradicating poverty, diseases and ignorance which are the challenges facing the Pakistani People. But also it will help to reach the mission and vision of preparing the future leaders of Pakistan and the world at large. Leaders who are responsible, respectful, honest, and kind to all the Worlds Children on our planet Earth because if we destroy it, we also destroy ourselves. ‘I believe that people are not Pakistani because they are born in Pakistan but because Pakistan is born in their hearts’.  The International Center for Environmental Arts affiliate in Pakistan World Peace Daily through Peace Emissary Baba Brohi will stand by and support them, in the face of this ongoing hazard.

The Brahui Culture is not sustainable with our environment. The responsibility of preserving your environment is also part of the Brahui History. In the “Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts” it explains that “…people want to live in Peace with Nature and Art and Culture is the bonding meaningful addition to everything around them," it says. "In this regard, the potential of what Iceality can do hasn't yet been tapped,"

Ladies and gentlemen, let me take this opportunity to remind everyone at the Conference to take responsibility in preserving our environment through Iceality, which is exactly what Mother Nature has accomplished for millions of years.  

Having said so, I believe that changes can also be brought by you here at the International Conference on Brahui Language and Culture, by working and cooperating with different people, even those who live beyond your shores. Through your talents, ideas and education that we get here at the International Conference on Brahui Language and Culture, we can change yourselves as well as preserve your Brahui society. I truly believe that this young and brave generation will one day make a greater change and make the world a better place for all the Worlds Children.

There are many languages in Pakistan ranging from Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi, Balochi, Kashmiri, Brahui, Hindko, Shina and Saraik. All these people have their cultures. But you are blessed to be all united by one language, Urdu and one country – Pakistan.

Actually, there is indeed a great need of creating a balance between confirmations of the previous marginalized cultures by supporting each other, and also appreciate the current dominant cultures putting forward and supporting one common language.

Ultimately, to make this long story short, may I call all of us with all love, kindness and sympathy to pray for the 145 people who were killed at the Army Public School and Degree College.   God bless Bahui, God bless Pakistan, and God bless all the Worlds Children.

The Time We Have Left...

The Time We Have Left .......

Quite a while ago, in our Hippie Days, Carly Simon had a hit song called “Anticipation,” which included a line about spending time “chasin” after some brighter day.”  Looking forward to an occasion in the New Year can provide a lot of pleasure.  Not only do you expect that approaching time to be wonderful, but you can add to your enjoyment by counting down the days until it arrives.  Whether it’s Easter, next summer’s tropical vacation, or just next forever Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all the Worlds Children, you just know that when that day comes, it will be glorious!  Sometimes it is! (And, as we all know, sometimes it isn’t)  But, hey, in any case, there’s no denying that anticipation affords us pleasure that spills over into the present.  That’s a good thing!

Let’s switch gears.  How many songs can you think of with lyrics about the past—remembering good times, regretting sad times?  Just off the top of my head I can mention Chicago’s “Saturday in the Park” or Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were.”  Looking back allows us to re-experience past events to whatever extent we wish.  From the vantage point of experience, we can mentally experiment with what “might have been” or just enjoy the echo of “Days of Future Past”.  For me Pleasure comes from being in the moment and enjoying your immediate circumstances. Purpose is about fulfilling our longer term vision for life and goals. Happiness comes from finding that mix between the two. There is no simple answer, however if we tip too far one way or the other we can lose our happiness.

But what about fully enjoying the very moment we are currently experiencing—right now at Christmas Time in 2014?  Let’s all resolve to do that!  I’m currently challenging myself to enjoy this day—every day—not tomorrow, last Wednesday, or next year - there is no other life but this and now.  How about you?  No matter at what stage of life we find ourselves, there is still a wealth of opportunities for growth, for reinvention, for connection in Iceality.  From now on, let’s expend the bulk of our energy on the day we have to live right now.  Adopt the “glass of Hope is half full” (not half empty) attitude—and drink it dry!

On the Death of Robin Williams, American Cultural Ambassadors Mourn the Loss

"As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

ARK in Berea:  David and I we're shocked and saddened to hear that the talented artist and arts activist, Robin Williams, passed away yesterday. As American Cultural Ambassadors, we remember him not only for his incredible career that brought joy to so many, but also for the way he used his talent to promote the Arts, he as left his mark on pop culture forever.

President Obama released a statement last night about Williams passing:
"Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien -- but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most -- from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets."

Robin's notable disappearance is a healthy reminder of our choices in the face of the challenges of our time which take so many lives unwillingly because of the unmet need for love. Depression is a crisis of learning held in the homeostasis of denial because we fear the experience of pain and wish to control it. Our finest moments are those in which we absorb and then release what appears to be dark energy, discovering underneath it a brilliance of serenity and joy never before experienced, layer upon layer, deeper and deeper into the heart of Love.

Our condolences are with Robin Williams family and friends, and we'll always remember him at the International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) for his enormous talent and his generous heart.

"We are deeply concerned to hear that the loss of Malaysia Airlines MH370 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing may an intentional terrorist incident . Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the families, friends and especially the children of all those affected at this terrible time. On behalf of all at the Worlds Children Peace Monument (WCPM) worldwide working for Peace, we keep hope alive and we are all here for you during this difficult time as we wait to hear more definitive evidence of what has happened."

Provenance of the subject sculpture places its conception at Germany's World's Fair, EXPO 2000's 'Culture on the Move' segment.  American Cultural Ambassadors David and Renate Jakupca addressed the 140 Nation Assembly of the concept for a permanent universal symbol of renewal and peace on earth for all living inhabitants through the 'Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts'.
This 'Universal Symbol of Living Peace' was the WCPM sculpture. This project was initiated in cooperation with the United Nations 2000 Culture of Peace Program and organized in support of the UN Decade of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

The Science Behind Peace and Global Harmony is the "Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts."  Which is the practical study on the aesthetics of the relationship between Humans and their Environment through Arts and Culture, ultimately promoting an effective sustainable global Culture of Peace between all Living Things ~  Human, Plant and Wildlife Kingdoms!*

2013 Year in Review “Spirit of the Times”

What is a dream? What is a dream of Peace for the Worlds Children?
It is a goal, an inspiration where Hope lives, a song for Iceality in the wilderness,

That is a dream. Get yourself a dream and never, ever let your dream get away.

2013 was all about this: trying new unexplored area’s of Peacekeeping I never was able to do before. The starting point of great dreams and achievement has always been the same for me. It is for you to dream BIG dreams. There is nothing more important, and nothing more exhilarating than for you to cast off your own limitations than for you to begin dreaming and fantasizing about the wonderful things that you can become, have, and do. That feeling makes you want to realize your biggest dreams,  feeling independent, feeling powerful at first, then astonishing fragile as a lamb and back again as a lioness.

2013 was for me the year of the new collaborations with some of my favorite Causes: from the role as Cleveland Ethical Fashionista for ICEA (for which I’ve been reconfirmed for 2014) to Universal Peace Ambassador for the Worlds Children Peace Monument (WCPM).

This year I am looking forward to working with Muhammad Atta Ur Rehman and The Multipurpose Inter Parliamentary Union – TMIPU, Mr. David Wright Of Global International, Mr. Elvis Bogonko, Executive Director at Jambo Charity Organization and Deans Triplett of Deans Images to name a few. New Peace Stones are already delivered to Nikki French for Ashtabula and Sean Brennan for Parma.
Sarajevo in Europe and Lisa Parker Co-Founder and Coordinator, Peace Day Philly have made inquiries for 2014 deliveries. And with ICEA's help and assistance, Cleveland may become an Official International City of Peace in 2014!!

This 2013 was a magic tragic year, full of joys and satisfactions but also of difficult moments, where I wanted/could/had to only count on myself. And you know something beautiful about it? You can do it. You suffer a bit, but then you wake up stronger than the day before.

But 2013 was also the year of Rewards: ICEA received a prestigious award from the Canadians for the First International stone of the Worlds Children Peace Monument erected in Windsor to mark the occasion of the 2013 International Children’s Games from Canadian Organizations.

David and I were honored at the Ohio Environmental Council’s 2013 Green Gala in Columbus, Ohio primarily for our part of the historic re-unification of the Greater Cleveland Community under the Iceality Silver Revelation.  North East Ohio Area has been 'branded' as the Home of the Environmental Art(s) Movement by the International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) as a 'Cultural Industry', to foster civic identity, cultivate jobs and tourism, and brand Ohio Environmental Arts and Culture District in the Bioregion.  We also received an award from AARP for recognizing our work with our peace project as Community Heroes. Among other recognitions are a Proclamation from Senator Michael Skindell and a Congressional Proclamation from Congresswoman Marsha Fudge dedicating the Lakewood peace stone as part of the building the National Coast-to-Coast 'Great American Peace Trail' and the Worlds Children Peace Monument (WCPM). This was an Official event of the 2013 Cleveland International Peace Day Activities.

We also presented two awards to the Cleveland Männerchor celebrating their 140th Anniversary.  I presented an award on behalf of Cleveland Councilman Kevin Kelley on behalf of the City of Cleveland.  At the same time a plaque was presented from the Ohio German American Business Association to Bill Trivison, President of the Cleveland Männerchor.   

My social media network grew like crazy in this year expanding to reach all four corners of the globe. A bit of thanks to social media, which helped me become better internationally known, a bit for my role of active blogger and influencer, and a lot of people who didn’t understand what we were doing started to respect me and replicate me. I also understood myself that my Ambassador job is a difficult to describe, but that I can use it to share a positive messages just by being myself. Never before have I felt freer to express myself and  speak my mind.  Not everyone will like me, but I’ve never been so happy of all the success I had by opening ICEA 26 years ago.
All this would have never been possible without my support group: It grew with Ken, Jane, Monica, Paul, Ruth, Douglas and Michael as new members all of which  composed by experienced dedicated people.

I don’t know where I’ll be in 2014, what I’ll do or what I’ll be feeling in a year: global peace seems possible yet mysterious. Changes don’t scare me anymore, they excite me. I still get happy as a kid for new projects and surprises, and this makes me proud.
I try not to set boundaries, but I also accept the tears and the times I lose, which make my success even more important.
I have a lot to learn yet and I want to grow and see the best of me, but in my wish list for next year, there is a wish which is the most important to me: never stop exploring. Exploring places, exploring people, exploring feelings and explore myself.  I want to discover all the magic of Peace around me. And yes, you all are a part of it: you’re the spell that made most of my dreams of Peace and goodwill for all living things a reality. Thanks for this 2013.  At the end of the year I ask myself, if this was my last year on earth, would I be happy with it?  My answer is yes. And really, that is all that I can ask for.
