Ambassador Renate calls Pakistan Easter Bombing 'Heinous'

At least 70 people were killed and more than 300 wounded after a terror attack in Pakistan

ARK in Berea (ICEAnews)  – In what she calls ‘heinous’, Ambassador Renate is condemning the Easter bombing of Christians in Lahore, Pakistan.
In a tweet, Ambassador Renate Jakupca says her thoughts and prayers are with all those killed or injured in the bombing yesterday at a park in Lahore that was crowded with families, with many women and children among the victims.
At least 70 people were killed and more than 300 wounded.
A breakaway Taliban faction that has publicly supported the Islamic State group has claimed responsibility, saying it targeted Christians celebrating Easter but most of those killed were Muslims.

ARK in Berea:  We want to express our solidarity with the people of Belgium in the aftermath

of the attacks that took place in Brussels.  Along with All the Worlds Children,
we are distressed by the pictures and of the news of the loss of lives.

The wave of terror that has been unleashed in Europe and elsewhere around

the world are attacks against our very way of Life and against the Peaceful
Values of Iceality upon which our sustainable Culture of Peace systems have
been based.

We must utterly reject the use of deadly acts of terror.

We and All the Worlds Children must rededicate ourselves to these core

values of Iceality – ‘Becoming more like Angels than Human Beings’.  

We must strengthen our alliances as our way of life and the international

WCPM system, that has been built on our common values since the First Easter,

comes under challenge from these and other acts of evil.

especially the children of all those affected in Belgium at this terrible time.

Palmsonntag at the ARK in Berea

Ostern ist wahrscheinlich einer der wichtigsten weltweit mit vielen Traditionen und Bräuche. Mit dem Ende der Karnevalszeit am Aschermittwoch ist die 40 Tage lange Fastenzeit begonnen. In der Woche vor Ostern Karwoche genannt wird, beginnt mit dem Palmsonntag.

An der historischen ARK in Berea, jedes Jahr am Abend vor dem Palmsonntag bereite ich zusammen mit David und meine Freunde, die Palmzweige . Wir dekorieren in der Regel die Zweige mit Schlaufen, Brezeln und andere Snacks, die dann getroffen werden und am Palmsonntag in der Kirche geweiht. Wer ist der letzte Morgen wird auf die Tage in der Karwoche bis bekommen lustige Namen. Als Kind wollte ich immer zuerst aufstehen, so dass ich nicht den ganzen Tag "Palmesel" genannt werde.

Eine ganz besondere Bedeutung für mich hat der Gründonnerstag. Denn an diesem Tag färben meine Freunden und ich jedes Jahr die Ostereier. Wir verwenden keine gewöhnlichen Farben, sondern färben unsere Eier mit verschiedenen Kräutern und Zwiebelschalen. Ein weiterer Brauch ist auch das sogenannte „Eier ausblasen“, wo wir mit einer feinen Nadel in das Ei hineinstechen und versuchen den Dotter herauszublasen. Diese Eier bemalen wir dann, da sie als Dekoration verwenden werden. Ebenfalls bereitet am Gründonnerstag  meine Mutter den traditionelle Korb mit Speck, Käse, Brot, Eier und das traditionelle Osterlamm für die Speisenweihe am Ostersonntag vor. Ich wurde schon des öfteren am Gründonnerstag als „Hantlersgare“ bezeichnet, da ich zu spät aufgestanden bin :-)

Am nächsten Tag ist der Karfreitag und an diesem Tag sowie Aschermittwoch, sagt es der Kirche Tradition, dass man kein Fleisch verzehren sollte. Wenn Sie an diesem Tag zu spät aufstehen, genannt "Karfreitag Ratschn".

Mit dem Ostersonntag findet die Fastenzeit ihr Ende und um 5:00 Uhr morgens nehme ich gemeinsam  mit meiner Familie jedes Jahr am traditionellen Osterfeuer vor der Kirche teil. Um 14:00 Uhr findet auf der Schmitten die alljährliche Ostereiersuche statt. Letztes Jahr war ich dort mit mein Mickey. Obwohl das Wetter nicht so schön war, hatten wir jede Menge Spaß. Es befindet sich dort ein großer Schneeberg, wo Ostereier mit verschiedenen kleinen Gewinnen versteckt sind. Kinder und auch Erwachsene sind eingeladen an dieser Suche teilzunehmen, wo es gilt das goldene Osterei, indem sich ein stolzer Geldbetrag von $5.00 verbirgt zu finden. Vielleicht haben ja Sie heuer das Glück und finden das goldene Ei !

2016 International Woman's Day

Today is International Women's Day - March 8th, 2016.

You may have noticed that there are a lot of International "Day"s popping up: "National Frozen Foods Day" was on Sunday, and later this month there's an International Goof Off Day.

International Women's Day isn't an arbitrary "Day" invented in the age of the internet to spark funny conversations on Facebook. It was founded more than 100 years ago to celebrate the battles on the forefront of gender equality.

At the time, garment workers in the United States were striking for fair wages, and women in dozens of countries were fighting for the right to vote or hold public office. In the Austro-Hungarian Empire alone, there were 300 demonstrations on International Women's Day.

Today, the fight for women's rights looks different – in huge part because we've come so far. But make no mistake, there is progress we have yet to make. Women are still facing discrimination throughout the world, and in different cultures those fights look different.

Please join All the Worlds Children us in celebrating International Women's Day by first taking a moment to appreciate how far we've come, and how many women have fought tooth and nail to secure the rights that we have today. Then join us to build on those victories by adding your 'Liking and Sharing" one or more of these campaigns - or start your own WCPM campaign to push for women's rights in an area you didn't see represented here.

Cleveland's 4th Annual “International Peace Day 2015 - A Week-Long Celebration of Iceality!

Cleveland People, it's time!   You are invited to the 4th Annual “International Peace Day 2015 - A Week-Long Celebration.” The theme of our 10 day event is the United Nations “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All the Worlds Children” and various organizations and businesses will offer the People of Greater Cleveland a wealth of activities, all of which aim to support, inform, educate, connect and entertain the people in our community about the Iceality of a Peaceful Planet.

"International Peace Day provides an umbrella opportunity for local individuals, groups and nations to create practical acts of peace on the same day." says Ambassador Renate.

It is a grassroots initiative to promote participation across the Greater Cleveland region in the building of the National Coast-to-Coast "Great American Peace Trail" and the "Worlds Children Peace Monument". International Peace Week 2015 and Cleveland World Peace Daily encourages organizations, individuals, civic leaders and communities to use the Platform of Peace Day to engage in diverse peace related activities and to engage in practical acts of peace building. Cleveland World Peace Daily encourages local participation in the United Nations International Day of Peace, observed globally on September 21.

Cleveland's International Peace Day began in 2012, as part of the Iceality Silver Revelation, utilizing the Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts as the main economic engine to promote the Greater Cleveland Area as a 'Cultural Industry' to foster civic identity, cultivate jobs, and tourism, brand Ohio Environmental Arts as a Cultural District in the Bioregion while developing a sustainable Global Culture of Peace for All Living Things.

THE LAST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE - My Life with Ovarian Cancer

That would be August 12th, 2015.
It started out as just another beautiful Sunshiny summer morning at the ARK in Berea. Everyone including Mickey and Rebel were happy to be alive and excited to enjoy what the day had to offer.I had a pleasant internet chat with Baba Brohi, Pakistan Peace Emissary about events on September 21, and International Peace Day.

We always try to enjoy living everyday so in the early afternoon we took a break and went down in Metro Parks by the MSR behind the ARK in Berea to Rocky River at a place we call Om. The river at Om is a place of solitude, tranquility, inspiration and a place I have used to maintain a sound body, mind and spirit and today was no exception. For over 40 years we played, swam and fished here, on that hot afternoon the waters were cool and relaxing wading and playing with Mickey. As we sometimes do we made a stone river sculpture I called ‘Lorelei’. People ask why we make Environmental Art in the middle of nowhere that no one will see, that has no monetary value and will disappear in a few days. If you have to ask why?, don’t ask now.

Later that afternoon I finished work by re-editing and sending in the Press Release for “Cleveland's 4th Annual International Peace Day 2015 - A Week-Long Celebration”.

That night as I lay down to sleep, an undetected  Ovarian Cancer cyst would burst, silently and painlessly spreading its poison that would quickly and forever change the way I would live the rest of my Life.
This years 2015 International Peace Day is a culmination of events for me that started when the United Nations invited David and I and out Theory of Iceality on Environmental Arts to participate in the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Summit’s message — that nothing less than a transformation of our attitudes and behavior would bring about the necessary changes — was transmitted by almost 10,000 on-site journalists and heard by millions around the world. In 1993 in Vienna, Austria, President Jimmy Carter and Geraldine Ferraro, US Delegates to the UN Conference on Human Rights would set the stage for the Theory of Iceality to participate in all UN Worlds Conferences until they were discontinued in 2007, reaching billions of people in a still growing audience.

"Ringing the Free Bell" After being diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in Aug 2015, I was proclaimed cancer free after finishing my Chemo Therapy Treatment in Jan 2016, and eligible to Ring the Free Bell as I left the Metro Health Cancer Center. Would have never made it without the help of my husband, family, friends, dog, cat, nurses, and Dr. Kimberly Resnick! Their encouragement and positive thinking helped me get through this! Thank You! This September 21, 2015 International Peace Day in Cleveland I will always remember not only for all the good it will bring to All the Worlds Children, but also because it will be the first day of my Chemo Therapy.
